Instagram posts for florists: what to post and when
A florist lives by dates: Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and every customer's anniversary. What goes up beforehand decides how many orders come in. Here are ideas for the week, the best times to post according to the average of two public studies and the Feedmakers features that make each post.
What to post
- Early orders for a special date, with the cutoff
- This week's arrangements and their prices
- Delivery: area, hours and how to order
- Which flowers last longest and how to care for them
- Flowers for events: weddings, birthdays and companies
- What each flower means, to help pick a gift
- A flower subscription for home or the office
- How to add a card with a message
When to post
Neither study has its own data for florists, so the map uses the all-industries average.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use photos of my arrangements?
Yes. Add the photo and Feedmakers places the arrangement in a new piece with the text inside it. An image model redraws it, so check that it still looks like yours before you post.
Can I put the order cutoff in the image?
Yes. You can type the dates and times yourself and they go inside the image. An image model draws them and can make mistakes, so check them before you post.
Can I schedule the posts for a special date?
Yes, on every plan: they go out on Instagram and Facebook right away or at the time you pick, up to 59 days ahead. The free plan publishes up to 20 posts a month.
How much does each post cost?
1 credit per image on Fast, 3 on Standard and 6 on High, and credits are only charged when the image comes out right. The caption doesn't spend credits.
