Instagram posts for psychologists: what to post and when

A psychologist posts carefully: clear information, no promises and nobody exposed. Here are ideas for the week, the best times to post for health businesses according to two public studies and the Feedmakers features that make each post.

What to post

  • What therapy is and what it isn't, in plain words
  • What the first session is like
  • Online therapy: how it works and what you need
  • Signs that it's worth asking for help
  • A question to think about during the week
  • The approaches you work with, explained without jargon
  • Hours, format and how to book a first appointment
  • The year's mental health awareness days and what's behind each one

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep it from promising results?

You can give it rules, like “don't promise results”, and the caption and the text in the image take them into account. Still, check every text before you post.

Can I make posts without photos of people?

Yes. On the draft you choose the piece type: typographic, photo or mixed. In a typographic piece, the text is the star.

Does it write the caption too?

Yes. Every post comes with a hook, a caption, a call to action and hashtags, in English, Spanish or both.

How much does each post cost?

1 credit per image on Fast, 3 on Standard and 6 on High, and credits are only charged when the image comes out right. The caption doesn't spend credits.
