Instagram captions for a sale: ready to copy

A good sale caption says what, how much and until when before anyone stops reading. Here's the formula and six captions to copy, each for a different type of business.

Good to know

  • One deal per post

Three promos in one post don't stick. If you have several, give each one its own post.

  • Make the numbers add up

If you say “up to 40%”, there have to be items at 40%. A discount nobody can find in the shop turns into a complaint in your inbox.

  • Repeat the deadline in the image

Few people read the caption; everyone scrolling sees the image. Put the discount and the date on the post too.

Frequently asked questions

What should a sale post say?

The discount, which products, until when and how to get it. With that in the first lines, the rest of the caption is optional.

How many hashtags should I use?

Instagram allows up to five per post. Two or three that describe the product, the industry or the neighborhood beat five generic ones.

Can I use these captions as they are?

Yes, they're made to copy. Swap the products, prices and dates for yours, and adjust the tone to how you talk to your audience.

Does Feedmakers write the caption for me?

Yes. Every post you create comes with a hook, caption, call to action and hashtags, in English, Spanish or both, from one line describing what you want to announce.
